Elsie Westercamp

Elsie Louella Westercamp, 78, of Keosauqua Route 2, died at 3:12 p.m. April 15, 1987 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

She was born September 26, 1908, in Mahaska County to Charles and Alice DeWitt Triplett. She was a homemaker and had lived on the same farm for 41 years. She married John H. Westercamp on January 25, 1928, in Oskaloosa. He died November 4, 1986.

She is survived by seven sons, Hubert of San Jose, California, Charles and LaVerne of Farmington, Rex and David of Mount Sterling, Max of Bonaparte, and Marvin of Keosauqua; four daughters, Velma Caston of Burlington, Vivian Kreiss and Joyce Keller of Fairfield and Audrey Caston of Eldora; a sister, Vena Flanders of Des Moines; 42 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two infant daughters.

The service was held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 1987 at the United Methodist Church in Farmington, the Reverend James Rozendaal officiating. Burial was in Green Glade Cemetery in Farmington.

Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington was in charge of arrangements.
