Margaret Manning Roberts

Margaret Manning Roberts died May 1, 1987 at the age of 92 at the Santa Teresita Hospital in Duarte, CA.

She was born Feb. 21, 1895 in Keosauqua, Iowa to Stanley and Elizabeth Brown Manning. She was a teacher all of her life, teaching at UCLA and in the public schools in Monrovia, CA where she had lived for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Brown Manning.

Survivors include Gibson Brown of Chicago, Ill., Madeleine Manning McCoy of Keosauqua and Mary Stidger Cook. A graveside service was held May 5, 1987 at the Live Oak Cemetery in Monrovia, California.

A memorial has been established to the Keosauqua Congregational Church.
