Mabel Gilbert Sanderson

Mabel Gilbert Sanderson, daughter of Luther and Jessie Pool Plowman, was born July 9, 1903 at Kilbourne and departed this life the morning of Wednesday, June 3, 1987 at Donnellson Manor Care Center in Donnellson at the age of 83.

She lived in the Kilbourne-Douds are until moving to Milton in 1958 and to Bonaparte in 1861(1961). She had been in the care center for 17 months.

She married Fred Gilbert November 16, 1921. He died in 1960. On August 30, 1961 she married Glen Sanderson, who died in 1971.

Surviving are a brother, Hollis "Pete" Plowman of Argyle.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 6, 1987 at 11 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Rev. Glen Lochead officiating. Interment was in Kilbourne Cemetery. A memorial was established for the cemetery.
