Edwin "Eddie" C. Hammans

Edwin "Eddie" C. Hammans, age 76, of 703 W. Washington, Fairfield, Iowa died at 9:50 a.m. Friday, June 19, 1987, at the Jefferson County Hospital.

He was born October 28, 1910 in Van Buren County, the son of Thomas and Flo Bough Hammans. He married Goldie Hooper, August 16, 1941 in Kahoka, Mo. and she survives.

He was an army veteran of WW II serving as an airplane engine mechanic from June of 1942 to September 1942 to September 1945. He had worked at Louden Manufacturing for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife and one brother: Wayne Hammans of Fairfield, Iowa. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Funeral services for E. "Eddie" Hammans was at 1:30 P.M. Monday, June 22, 1987 at the Behner Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Parker officiating.

Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
