Freda F. Cox

Freda F. Cox, daughter of Fred and Fay Heminger Hackard, was born November 1, 1935 in Vernon and departed this life the evening of Thursday, July 9, 1987 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, at the age of 51.

Freda was a graduate of Bonaparte High School and lived her life in the Bentonsport-Vernon community except for a time in Alaska.

Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Fay Hackard of Bentonsport; two sisters, Vivian Martin, Bonaparte and Elaine Cole, Bentonsport; a brother, Frank Hackard, and three brothers, William, Claire and Floyd Hackard, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 13, 1987 at 11 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with Rev. James Rozendaal officiating. Interment was in Harness Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.
