Walden B. Mark Sr., 88, of Autumn Heights, died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday, July 18, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born March 22, 1899, at Muscatine, he was the son of Ben H. and Hilda Baker Mark. He married Mary R. Held Feb. 12, 1919, in Burlington. She died Jan. 9, 1975.
He had been a farmer in Danville, Sperry, and Milton. He was of the Protestant faith and a member of the I.O.O.F., Sperry.
Surviving are three sons, Robert Mark, Walden Mark Jr. and Alfred Mark, all of Burlington; two daughters, Mary Doane, La Canada, Calif., and Mrs. Betty Carlson, Winfield; and 16 great-grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday in Prugh's Chapel.
Services for Mr. Mark will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. William S. Trump Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Hope Haven.
