Hazel Rosenbalm

Hazel A. Rosenbalm, 80, of Stronghurst, Ill., formerly of Smithshire, Ill., died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at her home.

Born March 31, 1907, in Biggsville, Ill., she was the daughter of Rosco and Minnie Hall Ross. She married Walter Rosenbalm May 29, 1924. He died July 25, 1978.

She had been a resident of the Smithshire community most of her life, having recently moved to Stronghurst. She was a member of the Smithshire United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Juanita Vancil, Stronghurst, and Lois Slocum, Cantril; one son, Duane Rosenbalm, Princeville, Ill.; one brother, Gilbert Ross, Roseville, Ill.; three sisters, Marie Hawk and Norma Hollenberg, both of Roseville, and Marjorie Markley, Knoxville, Ill.; and 16 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call until time of services at the Corman Memorial Home, Roseville.

Services for Mrs. Rosenbalm will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Corman Memorial Home with the Rev. Edward Snow officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, near Roseville.

A memorial has been established.
