Funeral services for Rex Miller, 84, Bonaparte, were held Monday, September 14, 1987 at the Hillsboro Baptist Church. The Reverend James Rozendall officiated. Burial was in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Mr. Miller died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 7, 1903 near Hillsboro. He farmed for 50 years in the Bonaparte area. He was a member of the Big Mound Christian Church and was also associated with the Big Mound Methodist Church.
On September 14, 1926, at Mount Pleasant, he married Ruth Boley, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Margaret Roules, Mediapolis; four brothers, Glen of Keosauqua, Ellis of Mount Pleasant, Kenneth of Hillsboro and Donald of Audubon; and three grandchildren.
His parents were Bruce and Daisy Brownlee Miller.
A memorial is being established. Contributions may be made at the Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington, which was in charge of arrangements.
