George Sinclair dies at Keosauqua

KEOSAUQUA - George Sinclair, 71, a resident of the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center at Keosauqua for the past two years, died at 4:35 a.m. today.

Sinclair was born March 20, 1916, in Lafayette, Ind. He married Margaret Silver of Stockport, Aug. 1, 1947, at Lafayette where the couple lived until moving to the Good Samaritan Center in 1985.

He had been an inspector in an Indiana gear factory and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II with service in India. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and American Legion at Lafayette.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, John, of Charlottesville, Va.; and nieces and nephews.

The body has been cremated. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center. Interment of cremains and graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fordyce Cemetery on the Silver farm southwest of Stockport.

The Pedrick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
