BRIGHTON - Mabel Wikoff, 68, died Sunday night at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Born Dec. 9, 1918, in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of George and Ethel Davidson Shelman and had lived most of her life in the Brighton area.
She was married to Charles Wikoff on Sept. 28, 1936, in Kahoka, Mo. She was a homemaker, a poet, and a member of the Brighton United Church.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Charles Phillip Wikoff, Wilmington Del., and Larry D. Wikoff, Oskaloosa; three grandchildren; three brothers, Miles Shelman, Winfield and John and Merle Shelman, Washington; and one sister, Doris Morgan, Brighton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Gould Funeral Home in Brighton with the Rev. Robert M. Bell officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Brighton.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the Brighton United Methodist Church.
