LLOYD A. DAWSON

Lloyd A. Dawson, 88, died early Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1986 at Keokuk Convalescent Home at Keokuk, Iowa.

The son of Commodore and Nannie Powell Dawson, was born May 8, 1897 near Donnellson. He married Irene Steward. She died in 1940. He later married Ruth Ferris Dec. 12, 1950 at Kahoka, Mo. who survives.

Also surviving one sister Delta Paschal, Keokuk, one brother, Lee E. Dawson, Skelton, Wash. a grandson, Lloyd Hohl of Las Vegas and a great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by Maxine Hohl and one brother Glenn.

Mr. Dawson farmed until 1948 then was employed by Hohl & Hohl Hardware, Keosauqua, retiring in 1972.

Services will be Saturday, March 1, 1986 at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with Rev. James Watson officiating. Interment at Clay Grove Cemetery, northwest of Donnellson. Memorial contributions to Keosauqua Congregational Church or Keosauqua Senior Citizen Center may be left at the funeral home. Open visitation.
