Friday services for Shultz

MT. STERLING - Services for Lela G. Smith, 88, who died Tuesday, will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. Andrew Rubenking officiating. Interment will be in Pulaski Cemetery. Friends may call at their convenience. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.

Mrs. Shultz was born Jan. 16, 1898 in Davis County near Pulaski, the daughter of Phillip and Irena Penrod Smith. She married Thomas Shultz in 1916 at Pulaski. They farmed near Pulaski and later near Mt. Sterling. She was a member of the Pulaski United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, John, of Greentop, Mo., three daughters, Beulah Corwin of Baring, Mo., Mary Cole of Mt. Sterling and Betty Cook of Fairfield and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons and two sisters.
