DOUDS - Glenn D. Roby, 77, of Douds died June 23, 1986, at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, following a heart attack he suffered at his home.

He was born Jan. 13, 1909 in Centerville to Isaac and Ida Stickler Roby. He lived in Ottumwa before moving to the Douds-Selma area about 40 years ago. He worked at John Morrell & Co. and also farmed. He was a Navy Seabee veteran of World War II and an accomplished pianist.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; a son, Glenn L. of Torrance, Calif.; two grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, the Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery north of Douds.

Friends may call at their convenience.

Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
