Madge Q. Anderson

Madge Q. Anderson, 77, of Urbana, Mo., formerly of LaHarpe, Ill., died at 11:13 a.m. Wednesday in the Lester Cox South Medical Center, Springfield, Mo.

Born April 30, 1909, in LaHarpe, she was the daughter of Tilden and Ella Campbell Quinn. She married Henry Anderson Nov. 4, 1936, in Comanche, Iowa. They had farmed near LaHarpe for many years.

She had lived in Kalona, Ill., and had lived in Urbana the past 15 years. She was a member of the Kalona United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Ella Sue Swentor, new Town, Conn., two sisters, Velma Cowdrey, Lohanta, Colo., and Gayle Ireland, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services for Mrs. Anderson will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the LaHarpe Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

A memorial for the Cancer Fund has been established at Banks & Beals Funeral Home, LaHarpe.
