Craig Minear

Dr. Craig P. Minear, 84, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Mount Pleasant, died Friday, July 18, at his home.

Born Nov. 4, 1901, at Cantril, he was the son of George L. and Nellie Sevier Minear. He married Lola Felgar at Mount Pleasant; she died Oct. 4, 1982. He later married Myra Sevier Oct. 26, 1984.

He was a school administrator for 44 years. He was a member of the University Park Methodist Church, Denver, and a lifetime member of the Lions International and the Denver Athletic Club. He was vice president of the Educational Travel Institute for People to People.

Surviving are his wife; one stepdaughter, Cheryl Johnson, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one stepson, Ronald Sevier, Denver; one brother, Dr. Paul Minear, Guilford, Conn.; one sister, Ruth Minear, Keosauqua; and one niece, Joy Wood, Dallas City, Ill.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant.

Graveside services for Mr. Minear will be 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel at the Forest Home Cemetery with the Rev. George White officiating.

A memorial has been established for Iowa Wesleyan College.
