Ruth Howard rites Saturday

LIBERTYVILLE - Services for Ruth E. Howard, 73, of Libertyville, who died Tuesday evening at University Hospitals, Iowa City, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Connor officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery near Libertyville. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to Faith United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Howard was born May 8, 1913 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Jess and Grace Stark Louth. She married Cleve M. Howard, June 24, 1934 in Fairfield. He died June 30, 1971. She had lived her entire life in Jefferson County, where she was a homemaker and had worked in the Jefferson County Hospital kitchen for more than 15 years. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Davis of Denver, Colo., Sharon Taylor of Birmingham; a son, Gary of Fairfield; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; a brother, Maurice Louth, and a sister, Marjorie Bucher, both of Libertyville. Her parents and a son preceded her in death.
