Fairfield LEx-Fairfielder dies in California
Silbert Avery, 78, of Citrus Heights, Calif., formerly of Fairfield, died Wednesday.
He was born April 27, 1908 in the Fairfield area, and attended Fairfield schools.
Surviving him are his wife, Katherine; a son, Willard; two granddaughters; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Homer of Milton and Gerald of Arizona; and five sisters, Edna Carroll of Princeville, Ill., Helen Pool of Douds, Cecil Marrow of Fairfield; Ferne Dickinson of Mount Pleasant and Margaret Orms of Sun City, Ariz.
Avery was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
The body will be cremated.
