Pearl Edna Riedel

KEOSAUQUA - The service for Pearl Edna Riedel, 78,of rural Keosauqua, who died Tuesday morning, Oct. 24, 1995, at Specialty Hospital in Tulsa, Okla., will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Dr. Peter G. Drever Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established.

Mrs. Riedel was born June 25, 1917, in Keosauqua, the daughter of James and Mae Garett Winters. On April 9, 1935, she married Leo L. Riedel in Kahoka, Mo. He died April 5, 1994.

She had owned and operated the Family Cafe in Fairfield, and had cooked at the Fairfield Golf and Country Club and Elks Lodge 1192, both in Fairfield. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fairfield.

Surviving are a daughter, Pat Hosman of Des Moines; four sons, Gary of Albuquerque, N.m., Danny of Phoenix, Donny of Effingham, Ill., Jerry of Broken Arrow, Okla.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorraine Moorman of Davenport and Dorothy Wood of Mission, Texas. Her parents, a son, Leo, two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
