Obituary of Little Robert Keck
Robert Judson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl L. Keck, of Stockport, was born June 17, 1919, and died May 15, 1922, in the Ottumwa hospital, being 2 years, 10 months and 15 days of age. He had been a patient little sufferer for about two months, and all that loving hearts and hands, combined with the best of medical skill, could do was done for him, but to no avail. He is survived by the sorrowing parents and twin sister, Roberta, and many near relatives. The funeral services were conducted at the home of the grandparents J. H. Keck and wife, May 17, 1922, by Rev. Prichard, pastor of the Methodist church of Hillsboro, Iowa., after which the little body was tenderly laid to rest in the Dibble cemetery.
"'Tis hard to break the tender cord
When love has bound the heart.
'Tis hard, so hard, to speak the words,
We must forever part.
Dearest loved one, we must lay thee
In the peaceful grave's embrace,
But thy memory will be cherished
'Til we see they heavenly face."We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the friends and neighbors for their assistance, sympathy and beautiful floral offerings in our time of sorrow, also to the male quartet, who rendered such beautiful music.
