Stanley A. Wellman

Stanley A. Wellman, 56, Keosauqua, died Wednesday, June 18, 1986 at his farm near Bonaparte.

Mr. Wellman was born January 19, 1930 in west Point and was the owner-operator of the Keosauqua Sale Barn. he was a member of the Lee County Cattlemen's Association and was a district director of the Iowa Cattlemen's Association. he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Lee County Fair, St. Boniface Catholic Church, Farmington, and the Knights of Columbus, Houghton.

On December 28, 1954 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, he married Marilyn Conrad, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Sid Wellman, Hillsboro, and Dusty and Miles Wellman, both of Donnellson; three brothers, Robert Wellman, Anchorage, Alaska, Paul Wellman, Keosauqua, and Ronald Wellman, West Point; five sisters, Mrs. Herman (Germine) Lohman, Mrs. Delores Freitag, Virginia Wellman, Mrs. George (Phyllis) Ward, all of West Point; and Crescentia Wellman, San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. his parents were Ben and Teresa Merschman Wellman.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 21, 1986 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point. The Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery, West Point.

A memorial has been established with the St. Boniface Church. Contributions may be made at the Link Funeral Home.
