Roger Hornbaker

Roger B. Hornbaker, 89, of Bonaparte, died at 8:50 a.m. Sunday, September 7, 1986 at the Scotland County Hospital, Memphis, Missouri.

Born March 23, 1897, at Bonaparte, he was the son of Marion and Mary Finn Hornbaker. He married Nona Story August 27, 1919 at Fairfield.

He was a farmer and a member of the Bonaparte Methodist Church and the Bonaparte Masonic Lodge No. 73 A.F.&A.M.

Surviving are his wife, Nona, Bonaparte; three sons, Cecil Hornbaker of Bonaparte, Gayle Hornbaker of Minnetoka, Minnesota, and Duane Hornbaker of Bonaparte; three daughters, Elaine Burkett of Keosauqua, Mrs. JoAnne (Harry) Baxter of Stronghurst, Illinois, and Mrs. Carolyn (Vernon) Ohlendorf of Muscatine; one sister, Hazel Hornbaker of Bonaparte; 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Hornbaker were held Wednesday, September 10, 1986 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home with the Rev. James Rozendaal officiating. Burial was in the Thompson Cemetery, Bonaparte.
