Charles E. Barker, 104, of Milton, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the Elm View Care Center.
Born Oct. 17, 1881, at Lebanon, Iowa, he was the son of James H. and Lurissa Jane Hill Barker. He married Rose Widmar; she died July 20, 1960.
He was a retired farmer and was a former owner operator of the Barker Produce House in Milton.
Surviving are one son, Don W., Iowa Falls; two sisters, Ione Brandon, Burbank, Calif., and Pauline Powell, Indianola; one stepdaughter, Frankie Beatty, Fairfield; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Priester Funeral Chapel, Milton.
Services for Mr. Barker will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Priester Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ed Poole officiating. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton.
A memorial has been established for the Sunnyside Cemetery Association.
