Kyle Brickey

Former Stockport resident, Kyle Brickey, 79, died at 6 a.m. May 1, 1986, at the L.W. Blake Memorial Hospital in Branton, Fla.

He was born May 31, 1906, in Milford, Ill., to John and Salena Horne Brickey. A resident of Ottumwa since 1936, he retired as a government inspector in 1965. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a life member of the Eagles, life member of Elks 347, a member of Masonic Lodge 269, Shrine KAABA, Order of Eastern Star 112, Clinton Chapter 9, Ottumwa Council 31, and Malta Commandery 31. He married Cleo Winona Thompson on July 18, 1932, in Kahoka, Mo.

He is survived by his wife; a son Ronald J. of Ottumwa; a daughter, Linda Coulter of Kansas City, Kan.; four grandchildren; a sister, Maynie Workman of Cantril.

Services for Brickey were held Monday at the First United Methodist Church, the Rev. Larry Garrett officiating. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Masonic services were Sunday at Robertson-Jay Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Shrine Crippled Children and Burn Hospital.
