F. Miller rites set at Eldon

MILTON - H. Ferne Miller, 69, died Monday morning at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Campbell Funeral Chapel, Eldon, with the Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Burial will be in Eldon Cemetery. Visitation is open. A memorial has been established to Mrs. Miller's church.

Mrs. Miller was born Dec. 17, 1917 near Eldon, the daughter of Guy and Mabel Hodson Acton. She spent all of her life in the Eldon and Milton communities. She married Franklin T. Miller Jan. 15. 1942 in Memphis, Mo. He died in 1984. A daughter also preceded her in death.

Surviving are four sisters, Florence Talbott of Birmingham, Irene L. Spilman of Selma, Mickey DeBurn of Ottumwa, Barbara Jean Dains of Burlington, and a brother, Jim Acton of Ottumwa.

Mrs. Miller was a member of Milton United Methodist Church, Federated Club, Top Hat Club and Help Your Neighbor Club, all of Milton.
