Weltah Helterbrand

Weltah E. Helterbrand died at 10:42 a.m. Friday, July 4, at the Fort Madison Community Hospital. She was 93.

She was born March 17, 1893, at Keosauqua to Elmer E. and Emma Patterson Rowe. She married Guy C. Helterbrand March 3, 1914, in Ottumwa. He died in 1967.

Mrs. Helterbrand was a homemaker and had lived in the Stockport and Hillsboro communities. She graduated from Bonaparte High School in 1913.

She is survived by two sons, Harry E., Green Valley, Ariz., and Glenn e., Hillsboro; four grandsons; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harold Rowe of Fairfield.

The family will receive visitors from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Hillsboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Newman officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Hillsboro Baptist Church.
