Reed Orris Williams

Reed Orris Williams of Cantril died at 4:20 p.m. Friday, July 11, at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. He was 76.

Mr. Williams was born Nov. 16, 1909, at Agency to Henry and Bessie Winney Williams. He married Cloe Marie Kutcher May 15, 1935. She preceded him in death.

He was a long-time employee at the Farmington Lumber Yard. he moved to Cantril from Farmington in 1985. He was a Navy veteran, serving in World War II, and belonged to the American Legion in Farmington.

Mr. Williams is survived by one brother, Marion of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and one sister, Shirley Anderson of Peoria, Ill.

Funeral for Mr. Williams will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington with the Rev. Jerry Coughlin officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery, Farmington.
