Isabelle G. Coffey

Isabelle G. Coffey, 88, of Luray, Mo., a former Fort Madison resident , died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, May 4, at Keokuk Area Hospital.

She was born Feb. 13, 1898, at Edina, Mo., to Albert and Katherine Eyler Stutsman. She married Herman P. Coffey April 8, 1918, at Edina; he died Dec. 12, 1967.

She was a cook in the Fort Madison school system before retiring, was a member of Santa Fe United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Surviving are one son, Fred, Wever; two daughters, Mrs. Alberta (Thomas) Tipson, Mount Pleasant, and Mrs. Eva Dale (Robert) Boone, Luray, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Becky Mutchler, Farmington; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will meet friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison.

Services for Mrs. Coffey will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Santa Fe United Methodist Church, Fort Madison, with the Rev. Raymond Boulter officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

A memorial has been established for her church at the funeral home.
