J. Harold Beswick

J. Harold Beswick, 72, of Stockport died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, May 26, 1986 at the Edmond Memorial Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma.

He was born Dec. 5, 1913 in Stockport to Worthy D. and Bessie Kisling Beswick. He married Lois Ruth Miller on Oct. 20, 1945 in Ottumwa.

He had lived all of his life in the Stockport area, and had farmed in Union township until his retirement in 1979. He was a Veteran of U.S. Army Corp. in World War II. He was a member of the Stockport American Legion.

Mr. Beswick is survived by his wife, Lois of Stockport, two daughters, Deborah Ratliff, Edmond, Okla.; Diane Jones, Ankeny; and a son, Jim Beswick, Oklahoma City, Okla. Also surviving are four grandchildren and one brother, Gerald Beswick of Stockport.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one son, both in infancy.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Duane Olsen officiating. Military rites at the Winchester Cemetery by the Stockport American Legion.
