MRS. MADGE MEINHARDT
Mrs. Madge Meinhardt, 77, Farmington, died in Graham hospital, Keokuk, at 7:15 p.m. Monday, June 17, after a long illness.
A native of Lee county, she was born November 3, 1896, the daughter of Sylvester and Minnie McVay Surrena. She married the late Orris Meinhardt December 26, 1927. Mrs. Meinhardt was a member of Embury United Methodist church.
Surviving are a son, Robert Meinhardt, Mendota, Ill.; daughters Lois Dunley, in Germany, and Vera Stout, Oskaloosa; sisters, Mrs. Taylor Smith, Argyle, and Mrs. Mable McCarty, Keokuk; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were at Miller-Hofbauer funeral home, Donnellson at 2:00 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating. Burial was in Embury cemetery. A memorial for the Embury cemetery fund has been established at the funeral home.
