Former Ottumwan Edd H. Cole, 82, of Indio, Calif., died Feb. 27, 1986, in Indio.
He was born Dec. 28, 1903, in Missouri to Shedrick and Anna Wick Cole. He was a retired farmer. He married Thelma E. Lawson on Sept. 6, 1920, in Keosauqua. She died in 1971.
He is survived by three sons, Frank of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Fred and Bill of Ottumwa; four daughters, Maxine Amelang of Sioux Falls, Helen Davis of Alvion, Annabelle Burns of Indio and Edna Davis of Cedar Rapids; 30 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly, in 1975.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after noon Tuesday.
