Edna Woodin rites Wednesday

CANTRIL - Edna Pauline Woodin, 85, died at 5:10 p.m. Monday at Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cantril United Methodist Church with the Rev. Marilyn Butler officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Bloomfield. Visitation is open at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua. Memorials to the Bloomfield Care Center may be left at the funeral home.

Mrs. Woodin was born Aug. 7, 1900 in Davis County, the daughter of Everett and Virgie Armstrong Battin. She graduated from Bloomfield High School and later was a librarian. She also was employed at the State Savings Bank in Cantril and was Van Buren County deputy auditor for many years. She married Frank Woodin. He died in 1976. They had farmed in the Cantril community until retiring in 1971.

Mrs. Woodin was a member of Cantril United Methodist Church, OES of Cantril, Rebekah Lodge No. 1 of Bloomfield, and was active in Van Buren County Republican Women.
