Florence Stump rites Sunday

LIBERTYVILLE - Florence "Betty" Stump, 77, of rural Libertyville, died at 7 p.m. Thursday at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Connor officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery, Libertyville. Friends may call at their convenience. Memorials have been established to University of Iowa Cancer Research, and Faith United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Stump was born Jan. 29, 1909 in Libertyville, the daughter of Earl and Cora Stansberry Howard. She married Russell Stump Nov. 25, 1926 in Keosauqua. She had lived her entire life in the Libertyville community, where she was a homemaker and had helped with the farming. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Eugene and Robert, both of Libertyville; five grandchildren; a brother, Paul Howard, and a sister, Kathryn Sample, both of Rock Island, Ill. Her parents, three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
