BLOOMFIELD - Stanley Clair Rodgers, 86, of Troy died March 21, 1986, at Davis County Hospital.

He was born Sept. 5, 1899, in Van Buren County near Selma to Charles C. and Floie Harryman Rodgers. He married Mabel S. Schock on Sept. 16, 1922, in Ottumwa. He was a retired real estate broker and Davis County farmer. He was a 50-year member of the Franklin Masonic Lodge and past Davis County Fair Board president. He was a member of the Troy Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Clair D. of Troy and Curtis C. of Platt City, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Marie VanVoorhis of Des Moines.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Priester Funeral Chapel, the Revs. Carl Wilson and Marilyn Butler officiating. Burial will be in Troy Cemetery.

Visitation is 8-9 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.

the casket will be closed at the beginning of the funeral service.

A memorial has been established to the Troy Methodist Church.
