Chet Greenup

Chet Greenup, 81, of 133 S. Milner died the morning of Dec. 1, 1986, at his home.

He was born Feb. 5, 1905, in Stockport to Thomas and Emma Turnham Greenup. A resident of Ottumwa most of his life, he was an employee of Hawkeye Lumber Company for 32 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He married Marie Kosman Feb. 23, 1927 in Otumwa.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Charlotte Oldaker of Omaha and Patricia Burton of Live Oak, Fla.; six grandsons; and a brother, Carl of Beaumont, Calif.

The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Ref. Paul C. Hart officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
