Kenneth M. Roberts, 78, of Fairfield, died at 3:35 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 1986 at the Jefferson County Hospital, Fairfield.
He was born June 16, 1908 in Van Buren County, the son of Elmer and Lottie Morris Roberts. He married NeElma Mills on May 6, 1932 at Fairfield.
Kenneth was a farmer and he worked for the Dexter Company for 25 years as a shipping clerk. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bonaparte.
He is survived by his wife; one son, Lee Roberts of Galesburg, Illinois; two daughters, Neva North of Bonaparte and Dorothy Hendricks of Mesa, Arizona; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Peterson and Velda Marshall, both of Bonaparte. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary and Sharon, and two sisters.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 1986 at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Rev. James Beatty officiated. Burial was in Hillsboro Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for the Heart Fund or the American Cancer Fund.
