RYNE A. BARKER

Ryne Allen Barker, 25, son of Norman and Bernadine Livesay Barker, was born January 1, 1961 in Maquoketa, Iowa and departed this life the afternoon of Wednesday, February 19, 1986 as a result of a farm accident six miles north of Keosauqua.

Ryne graduated from Van Buren Community High School with the class of 1979 and from Iowa State University in 1983. He was a member of the Iowa State Livestock Judging Team in college, was listed in Who's Who in American High Schools," and had been active in 4-H.

Surviving are his mother and father, both of Keosauqua; two brothers, Robert at Iowa State University, Ames, and Randy, Keosauqua; and his fiance, Stephanie Miller McAtee and her two sons, Philip and Brian; his grandmothers, Corda Livesay, Keosauqua and Ruth Jones, Birmingham; stepgrandfather John Jones, Birmingham; step-grandmother Ruth Barker, Keosauqua. Grandfathers Arnold Barker and Alex Livesay preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 22, 1986 at 10 a.m. in the Keosauqua United Methodist Church, with Rev. Don Morrison officiating. Interment was in Fellows Cemetery, Keosauqua. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua was in charge of arrangements. A memorial was established, its use to be designated later by the family.
