ROBERT D. ZANE

Robert D. Zane, 63, Bonaparte, died at 12:55 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 1986 in the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua.

Mr. Zane was born January 5, 1923 in Farmington. He was a farmer and an auctioneer. He was a member of the Big Mound Methodist Church and the American Legion at Bonaparte. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

On April 1, 1949, in Farmington, he married Reta Pitney; who survives.

Also surviving are his stepmother, Blanche Ranson Zane, Ann Arbor, Michigan; two sons Jim of Donnellson and John of Hillsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Tim (Bobbie) Blair, Keosauqua) a brother Lee Zane, Barrington, Illinois and five grandchildren.

His parents were Lee W. and Bessie Hunter Zane.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 15, 1986 at 11 a.m. at the Farmington Methodist Church with Rev. James Rozendaal officiating. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery.

A memorial is being established with the Cardiac Care Unit at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital. Contributions may be left at Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington.
