LEO PHILIPS

Leo Philips, 89, of Fairfield died at 5:02 a.m. Nov. 11, 1991, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

He was born Oct. 17, 1902, near Birmingham to William and Una Walker Philips.

He was a mechanic in Chicago for several years and lived in Colorado Springs, Colo., before returning to Iowa.

He is survived by two brothers, Rex of Douds and Clem of Pine Colo.; and a sister, Verle Lane of Keosauqua.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lester; and two sisters, Fern Runyon and Ethel Morris.

The body has been cremated.

A memorial service was held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 1991 at Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham.

Burial was in Spencer Cemetery near Stockport.
