Effie Doud Parsons

Effie Doud Parsons, 94, of Sunland, Calif. died August 10, 1985 in a Burbank, California hospital.

She was born October 10, 1890 at Douds, the daughter of William and Ella Mae Rodgers Doud.

On January 12, 1921 she married Leslie Parsons at Douds. They lived in Douds and Fairfield, and moved to California in 1943.

Mr. Parsons died in 1980. Three brothers, Mark, Ralph and Jay Doud and a sister, Marjory Morrow also preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Lois Pease, Sunland, Calif., two sons, Warren, LaCrescenta, Calif. and Gene, Mission Viejo, Calif., 10 grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She was a long-time member of Twin City Chapter No. 258, Order of Eastern Star at Douds.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, August 15, 1985 at 11 a.m. in Leando Cemetery, Douds, with Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. The family will meet at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
