Taylor P. Campbell

Taylor P. Campbell, son of James and Anna Taylor Campbell, was born December 13, 1904 at died early Saturday, June 29, 1985 at his home at the age of 80. He was born, lived his life and died on the same farm in Harrisburg Township north of Bonaparte.

On May 26, 1930 he married Marjorie Huff in Washington, Iowa. She survives along with their six sons, Arthur, San Bernardino, Calif.; Earl, Victorville, Calif.; Glenn, Mt. Vernon, Wash.; Dean, Bonaparte, Wayne, Chillicothe, Mo. and Wendell, Ft. Madison, and their two daughters, Joyce Gordon, Cedar Rapids and Donna Folker, Mt. Sterling. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, a great-grandson, other relatives and friends. His parents, four sisters, and an infant son preceded him in death.

In addition to farming he was a pioneer private airplane pilot and was a member of the Harrisburg Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 2, 1985 at 2 p.m. in the Harrisburg Baptist Church north of Bonaparte with Rev. Ed Newman, pastor officiating. Interment was in Vale Cemetery near the church. Memorials were established for the church and the cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
