GENE "SLIM" BROMBAUGH
Gene "Slim" Brombaugh, 59, of Farmington, died Monday, April 15, 1985 at 7:15 p.m. at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.
He was born March 2, 1926 in Hillsboro. His father was Glen Brombaugh and his mother was Marie Newman.
He married Arlene Sherry Stotts, July 9 in Nauvoo, Illinois. He was a Farmington resident his entire life and a logger by occupation. He served in the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife Arlene of Farmington; five daughters, Toni Black, Salem; Vicki Tomfield, Hillsboro; Sherri Wilcox, Galesburg, Illinois; Terri Sue Schau, Farmington; and Jacki Stotts of Farmington; one brother, David Brombaugh, Bonaparte; three sisters, Clysta Hite, Bonaparte, Ethel Dickey, Jefferson, and Mary Stuart, Jefferon; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 18 at 10 a.m. at the Hofbauer Funeral Home.
