Charline Dougherty

FAIRFIELD - Charline Dougherty, 75, of Fairfield died at 5:33 p.m. Sept. 27, 1985, at the Jefferson County Hospital.

She was born Oct. 3, 1909 in Keosauqua to William and Bertha Stine Jasper. 1984. A lifetime resident of the Libertyville and Fairfield area, she was a homemaker and was employed by the Beatrice Creamery in Ottuwma(sp). She was a member of the Suburban Heights Baptist Church. She married Merle M. Dougherty on Jan. 27, 1927 in Fairfield. He died Nov. 17, 1984.

She is survived by three daughters, Rose Hansen of Fairfield, Irene Gire of St. Charles, Mo., and Sue Ann Wilson of LeSueur, Minn.; two sons, Jim of Libertyville and Marty of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond D. and Merrill Cooksey of Fairfield; and two sisters, Ruth Denney and Marcene Gill of Fairfield.

The service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Behner Funeral Home, the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Memorials may be made to the Libertyville Community Center.
