GEORGE MILLER
Services for George L. Miller, 72, a resident of Ridgecrest Retirement Village, Davenport, formerly of Blue Grass, were held May 21, 1985 at Blue Grass Presbyterian Church with burial in Davenport Memorial Park.
Memorials made be to the United Parkinson Foundation at the village.
Mr. Miller died Saturday, May 18, 1985 at St. Luke's Hospital.
He retired in 1977 after 35 years of teaching, serving 31 as a science teacher and basketball coach at Sudlow Junior High School, Davenport.
Mr. Miller married Rollo Norman in 1941 in Iowa City.
He was a member of the church; Lions Club, Blue Grass; and Retired Teachers Association, Davenport; a past president and vice president of Iowa Archaeological Society; and past president of Churches United of Rock Island and Scott Counties.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Mrs. Harold (Ruth E.) Thomas, Elmhurst, Illinois and Mrs. T.V. (Erica) Rao, Toronto, Canada; sons, Dr. Ronald, New York, and Harry Errett, Bettendorf; four grandchildren and a sister, Edith Monger, Omaha, Nebraska.
