RICHARD J. HOLTKAMP

Richard J. Holtkamp, 72, rural Hillsboro, died at 11:06 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 1985 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua. A heart attack was the apparent cause of death.

He was born July 9, 1912 at Wesphalia, Kansas to Bernard and Gertrude Conlin Holtkamp. He married Martha Rasmussen on August 16, 1941, at Ada, Minnesota. He was a retired farmer and a life resident of the Houghton area.

Surviving: His wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lance (Gloria) Giberson, Winfield, and Sharon Reno, Burlington; two grandchildren; a brother, Edward H. Holtkamp, Fort Madison; a sister, Mrs. Jack (Agnelia) Noll, For Maidson.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at St. John Catholic Church in Houghton. Burial was in St. John Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Marquette Schools Inc. and his church. Link Funeral Home, West Point, was in charge of arrangements.
