Aimee M. Peterschmidt

Aimee M. Peterschmidt, 88, 1102 48th St., died at 10:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, at the Burlington Medical Center. She had been in failing health three weeks.

A long-time resident of the Fort Madison-West Point area, Mrs. Peterschmidt was born July 13, 1897, at Bonaparte. She taught in Lee County schools from 1915 to 1919. She was a secretary at Aquinas High School from 1955 to 1968. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church, the Catholic Ladies Auxiliary and the Altar and Rosary Society and was an oblate of the Third Order of St. Benedict.

On June 4, 1919, at West Point, she was married to Alfred T. Peterschmidt, who died April 21, 1957.

Surviving are five sons, Carl of Reno, Nev., Paul of Fort Madison, Mark of Arlington, Va.; Glen of Los Gatos, Calif., and Vern of Albuquerque, N.M.; three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Rose) Rump, Fort Madison, Mrs. Howard (Bee) Frederick, Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Thomas (Anne) Marry, Clifton, Ill.; 34 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, a grandchild and a brother. Her parents were Albert M. and Rosa Rigler King.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart church. The Rev. William Wiebler will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, West Point.

The body is at the King-Lynk Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited by the parish at 7 this evening. A combined rosary by the Catholic Ladies Auxiliary and the Altar and Rosary Society was scheduled for 3 this afternoon at the funeral home.

A memorial is being established. Contributions may be made at the King-Lynk Funeral Home.
