William Parcell

RICHLAND - William Balderson Parcell, 86, of Richland died May 26, 1985, at the Parkview Nursing Home in Fairfield.

He was born July 13, 1898, near Ollie to John and Rebecca Balderson Parcell. He married Bernice Down on Nov. 28, 1928, at Indianola. She died May 13, 1951. A member of the Rubio Friends Church, where he was church treasurer for many years, he farmed in the Brighton and Rubio areas before he retired in 1951. He worked for the Lake Darling State Park in its early development and was a Clay Township trustee for a number of years. He had lived at Parkview Care Center for eight years.

He is survived by a daughter, Gertrude Wright of Fairfield; a son, Victor of Brighton; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Homer of Fairfield and Clifford of Birmingham.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rubio Friends Church, the Rev. Paul Baiotto officiating. Burial will be in the Clay Cemetery.

Visitation is this evening at the Gould Funeral Home in Richland.

A memorial has been established.
