Chester Louth

FAIRFIELD - Chester Paul Louth, 73, of New London died at 8 p.m. Dec. 28, 1985, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.

He was born June 11, 1912, in Van Buren County to Will and Grace DeGood Louth. A former resident of Fairfield and Ottumwa, he was a paint contractor. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Fairfield. he married Viola Shields Davis on Aug. 30, 1962, in Fairfield.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Ronald of Birmingham and Richard of Clinton; two stepsons, Harold Davis of Ottumwa and Wayne Davis of New London; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Irene Swartz of Fremont and Margaret Latta of St. Petersburg, Fla.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Visitation is open at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the New London Care Center.
