MARION MCELDOWNEY

Marion McEldowney, son of George and Faye Holton McEldowney, was born June 27, 1924 near Arbela, Missouri and departed this life early the morning of Wednesday, June 19, 1985 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, at the age of 60.

Most of Marion's life was spent in the Cantril-Milton area. He farmed and was a distributor for the Des Moines Register.

On November 12, 1983 he married Clara Christensen Moore at Bayard, Iowa. She survives along with a sister, Opal Allen of Burlington, two step daughters, Connie Brewbaker, Indianola and Carol O'Brien, Des Moines, a stepson, Luther Moore, Omaha and three step grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 21, 1985 at 1 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Rev. Ed Pool of the Milton Christian Church officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
