Ruth Elizabeth Samons

Ruth Elizabeth Samons, 65, of Burlington, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 1985, at Burlington Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 20, 1919, in Fairfield to Noble E. and Myrtle Gilliland Samons. She lived in Burlington for the past five years with her previous residence in Fairfield.

She was a retired glove maker at Fairfield Line, Inc.

Surviving: two sisters, Lorraine Samons, Burlington, and Loise Parrish, Harker Heights, Texas; one aunt, Marie Lundquist, rural Fairfield.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, at the Behner Funeral Home; the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating; Leando Cemetery, near Douds.

A memorial to the cancer fune has been established.
