FAIRFIELD - Elmer L. Whitlock, 60, of 209 S. Main died at 1 a.m. Sept. 25, 1985, at the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 21, 1924, in Frederick to Elmer LeRoy and Bernice Sedgwick Whitlock. He married Vicky Salts on Dec. 29, 1960, in Bloomfield. He lived in Fairfield for 30 years where he was a barber and a Realtor for Jefferson County Real Estate. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Michael of Des Moines; a stepson, Richard Gorman of Rosemead, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Deah Westercamp of Farmington and Kim Johnson of Hillsboro; 8 stepgrandchildren; a stepgreat-granddaughter; two sisters, Helen Della Vedova of Albia and Goldie Shelton of Salt Lake City, Utah; and two brothers, Clyde of Galesburg, Ill., and Robert of Indianola.
The service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, the Rev. James Beattey officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
